Frequently Asked Questions

What is Tap Drill Pocket for?

Tap Drill Pocket is an offline reference tool for machinists, CNC operators, metalworkers, maintenance technicians, and shop users who need tap drill, form tap, and clearance hole sizes quickly.

Does the App work offline?

Yes. All thread charts, drill-size references, calculations, favorites, and drill-kit settings are stored locally in the App. No account or internet connection is required.

Which thread types are supported?

The App supports common inch, metric, UNC, UNF, NPT, NPS, and machine screw thread references, plus number, letter, fractional, and metric drill sizes.

What does the drill kit setting do?

The drill kit setting lets you mark the drill sizes you actually have on your bench. Lookup results can then show the nearest available sizes from your selected kit instead of every theoretical size.

Why do results include a safety note?

Tap drill references depend on material, tap maker guidance, shop standard, and the actual operation. Always verify critical jobs against the tap manufacturer’s data and your own shop requirements.

Can I change the App language?

Yes. Open Settings in the App and choose the App Language option. You can use the system language or choose a supported language directly.

How do I reset my settings?

Open Settings and tap Reset Settings. This clears local preferences such as unit selection, language override, favorites, recent items, and drill-kit selection.

How do I request a refund?

Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
