Overview
ReefLog (“the App”) is developed by Leilei Zhang. This is a simple, offline reef aquarium tracker. This page exists to be transparent about what we do — and don’t — collect.
Short version: ReefLog collects essentially no data. All your tank records, parameter logs, and coral inventory are stored only on your device. We have no server and no database.
Data We Collect
Crash Reports
We collect anonymous crash reports to help us fix bugs. These include your device model, iOS version, and a crash stack trace. They contain no personally identifiable information.
What We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect your name, location, or contact information
- We do not track your usage or behavior
- We do not use advertising networks or analytics SDKs
- We do not send any tank data, parameter readings, or coral records off your device
- We do not require an account or login
Data Storage
All data you enter in ReefLog — tank profiles, water parameter readings, maintenance logs, and coral inventory — is stored locally on your device only using Apple’s SwiftData framework. Nothing is synced to any server.
iCloud
ReefLog does not use iCloud sync. Your data remains on your device only and is not backed up to iCloud.
Children’s Privacy
This app is not directed at children under 13.
