Overview
KnitCount (“the App”) is developed by Leilei Zhang. This is a simple, offline row and stitch counter for knitters and crocheters. This page exists to be transparent about what we do — and don’t — collect.
Short version: KnitCount collects essentially no data. All your projects and counts are stored locally on your device. We have no server, no database, and no idea who you are or what you’re knitting.
Data We Collect
Crash Reports
We collect anonymous crash reports to help us fix bugs. These include your device model, iOS version, and a crash stack trace. They contain no personally identifiable information.
What We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect your name, location, or contact information
- We do not track your usage or behavior
- We do not use advertising networks or analytics SDKs
- We do not send any project or count data off your device
- We do not require an account or login
Data Storage
Your projects and counter values are stored locally on your device using Apple’s SwiftData framework. We have no server and no database. If you delete the app, all your data is deleted with it.
