Overview
DriftLog (“the App”) is developed by Leilei Zhang. This Privacy Policy explains what data the App accesses, how it is used, and where it is stored.
Short version: DriftLog is a local-first watch accuracy logger. Your watches, measurements, drift history and service records stay on your device. We do not operate a server for this App and we do not collect your data.
Data We Access
Local Storage
DriftLog stores your records locally on your device. This can include the watches you add (name, movement type, purchase details you choose to enter), timing measurements, computed drift rates, and service or regulation notes.
Network Time (Reference Clock)
To measure a watch’s rate, the App reads network-synchronized reference time (NTP). This request contains no personal data and no identifier — it is the same time signal your device’s clock uses. All measurements computed from it are stored only on your device.
Purchases
The one-time “DriftLog Pro” unlock is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details.
What We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect your name, email, or contact information.
- We do not upload your watches, measurements, or usage data to any server.
- We do not track your usage patterns or behavior.
- We do not use advertising networks or analytics SDKs.
- We do not require an account or login.
- We do not access your photos, location, microphone, or contacts.
Data Storage
All DriftLog records are stored on your device. Leilei Zhang has no access to the data you enter into the App. Deleting the App deletes your data with it; use CSV export first if you want a copy.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this page with a new “last updated” date.
